The Company​

Fineco Asset Management DAC (‘FAM’) is the Dublin based asset management subsidiary of FinecoBank S.p.A. (“FinecoBank”). FinecoBank (“Fineco”) is a leading European bank with a 20-year history and a fully digital DNA with a branchless approach since the start. Fineco is one of the banks with the widest products range available. Fineco have developed a truly one-stop-solution which includes trading, investment and payment services. The Role

Reporting to the Head of Structured Product Solutions, you will join an analytical, curious, and collaborative investment team. Main focus of this role will be the management of Passive and ETF Funds together with any launch of new Structured Funds ideas.
Ideally looking for a self-starter, independent profile who enjoys building positive working relationships and looking to make a difference in a busy but flexible and supportive working environment. Opportunity to grow into the role and future progression. We are currently looking into the option of implementing a long-term hybrid working style, with the potential to work from home for a percentage of the time.

• Building and implementation of trades : Weekly reset on Passives Funds/ ETFs and Structured Fund’s operations.
• Detailed analysis and product back testing.
• Internal and External coordination of the fund launches process and day to day management .
• Working with other teams to help with the collation and preparation of documentation for fund launches, investment committees and board meetings
• Monthly reporting tasks, positioning, performance etc
• Contribute to improvement and making of the processes more efficient .


Profile/Skills:

• 2 years+ experience in the investment management industry would be a plus
• Very Good knowledge of Derivatives.
• Excellent analytical and learning skills and attention to details.
• Knowledge of Python and/or SQL Database would be preferable.
• Someone who is passionate and curious about financial markets and investments.

Main Responsibilities:

UCITS Management Company, currently managing in excess of €as above bn euro AUM in Luxembourg and Ireland, is seeking for a Senior Audit Manager (PCF 13).

About the Role:

The Senior Audit Manager creates and manages the risk based audit plan, ensuring that the audit work fulfils its purposes, conforming to company policies and the Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing. The role offers a unique opportunity to work across a broad scope of activities and teams in a high growth, highly innovative and international organization, where cooperation and focus on the company goals are key features for covering the role.

The role is subject to Pre-Approval from the Central Bank of Ireland.

Main Responsibilities:

 

  • to establish, implement and maintain an audit plan in compliance with Group Internal Audit standards (to be approved by the Board), to assess the adequacy and effectiveness of the Company’s systems, internal control mechanisms and arrangements, including those of the Funds;
  • Perform the end to end audit activities outlined in the approved audit plan from planning stage through to fieldwork and reporting phases in compliance with Group Internal Audit standards;
  • to issue recommendations based on the results of work carried out in accordance with the audit plan and to verify compliance with the agreed management actions;  and
  • to report on internal audit matters to the Board.

 

The Senior Audit Manager reports to the Board on at least a quarterly basis, providing a formal report to the Board in relation to:

  • the Company’s audit plan (to be approved by the Board);
  • individual audit assignments included in the internal audit plan
  • summary of audit reports;
  • current status of any open audit finding & their remediation;
  • details of recently closed audit findings and their remediation; and
  • the evaluation of the Company’s internal control system.

 

The Senior Audit Manager will perform all of their activities in accordance with the Group Internal Audit Charter, Policy and operational manuals and there will be a dotted reporting line into the parent company Internal Audit function.

Key Requirements:

  • Relevant Asset Management (preferable) or Financial Services experience;
  • At least 5 years of relevant internal audit experience;
  • Bachelors degree;
  • Professional qualification (e.g. Chartered Accountant or Certified Internal Auditor);
  • Strong knowledge of financial/fund products and financial markets;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Strong planning, problem solving and stakeholder management skills;
  • Well organized with strong time management skills;

The Opportunity

​Reporting to the Head of Fund Solutions, you will join an analytical, curious, and collaborative investment team. Key focus of role is to be hands on working with and assisting portfolio managers in order to deliver positive investment results for clients. Portion of time will also involve conducting due diligence on both existing funds and prospective new investments. Ideally looking for a self-starter, who enjoys building positive working relationships and looking to make a difference in a busy but flexible and supportive working environment. Opportunity to grow into the role and future progression. We are currently implementing a hybrid working style, with the potential to work from home for a percentage of the time.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Work in collaboration with portfolio managers in the day-to-day management of the fund of funds to deliver positive investment results for fund of funds and end clients.
  • Assist with tasks related to fund analysis and portfolio construction on multi asset and fixed income fund of funds.
  • Planning, building and implementation of trades.
  • Conduct due diligence and ongoing monitoring activities on underlying managers held within the fund of funds.
  • Help with monthly reporting tasks when required, positioning, performance etc.
  • Work with other teams to help with the collation and preparation of documentation for fund launches, investment committees and board meetings.

Key Requirements:

  • 3-5 years’ experience in the investment management industry.
  • Experience on the fixed income side preferable.
  • Someone who is passionate and curious about financial markets and investments.
  • Good analytical skills and attention to detail.

  • Be a committed team player.
  • Educated to university level and CFA desirable.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills important

The Opportunity:

Due to significant growth within the business, we are looking to add an operations and outsourcing manager within our Operations team, reporting to the Head of Operations to support our UCITS Management Company business.
The Operations team is responsible for a broad range of activities, some of which are outlined below. The role will encompass a regulatory reporting element, including responsibility for the day-to-day oversight of the company’s EMIR reconciliation programme.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Daily Operations: Coordinating and overseeing the day-to-day activity of outsourcing Middle Office, Administration, Investment Team, settlement, ensuring the business day of the Management Company runs smoothly.
  • Daily Oversight: of EMIR reconciliation programme.
  • Daily Operations: Timely escalation and resolution of all potential and actual issues.
  • Daily Operations: Facilitate the solution of settlement fails.
  • Daily Operations: Reviewing reconciliations between counterparties, custodians and administrators, coordinating investigations among different outsourced service providers.
  • Daily Middle Office: Dealing with Global Transfer Agent. and Local Transfer Agent. in projecting cash flows due to subscriptions/redemptions.
  • Daily Middle Office: Liaise with investment managers and counterparties to ensure pre-trade, and trade matching issues are resolved on a timely manner.
  • System Review: Ensure that Front Office system is up to date in terms of limits definitions, product set up and definitions.
  • SLA Review: Design Process Management Flow with both Custodian and Administrator of Luxembourg and Irish Umbrella Fund.
  • Oversight and Supervision of Service Providers: Including initial and ongoing due diligence, service review meetings review of monthly/quarterly/ ad-hoc and board reporting.
  • Collaborating and overseeing the work of more junior team members and providing guidance as necessary.
  • Management of Fund Services: Review the computation of the Ongoing Charges of the Fund Administrators, providing periodic Budget, Budget updates and reviewing the actual numbers with expectations, explaining main variations.
  • Management of Distribution Requirements: In relation to Reporting of UCITS products, ability to manage the requirements and the expectations of the Distributors, regarding EMT, EPT, Look through insurance approach, PRIIPS.
  • Ensure SLA/SLDs are periodically reviewed and kept up to date.
  • Assist the Administrator(s) and Head of Operations in performing life cycle events on the sub-funds promoted by the Company (dividend distributions, maturities, etc, Company liquidations, mergers, etc).
  • NAV check Operations: Perform periodic checks on NAV, validating derivative price and level 2 and level 3 prices.
  • BOD Reporting: Prepare and distribute periodic reports to Investment Committee and the Board of Directors.
  • Projects: Representing the operations team in various projects.

Key Requirements:

  • Third level qualification in Accountancy, Finance or a Business discipline.
  • Relevant 7+ years’ experience in a Middle Office/ Operations/ Back Office function preferably within the capacity of Asset Management/Investment Management (preferable) or UCITS Management Company Experience.
  • Exposure to regulatory reporting (EMIR, SFTR, etc.) and familiarity with reporting requirements
  • Strong knowledge of UCITS, and other relevant financial products, instruments and markets.
  • Essential skills: strong planning, problem solving, project management, stakeholder management
  • Ability to work on own initiative and to meet deadlines.
  • Comfortable dealing with ambiguity.

The Opportunity

We are looking to recruit a Legal Counsel to join our Legal Team. This role will report into the Head of Legal.

 

Main Responsibilities:

• Legislation and regulation – Follow-up, analysis and implementation of new legislation or regulatory requirements impacting FAM and the funds under management (e.g. UCITS, AIFMD, MiFID II, EMIR, SFDR, CP86, Outsourcing Requirements etc.
• Fund approvals/amendments – Complete Central Bank and CSSF applications for new sub-funds and manage all post authorisation fund amendments with the Central Bank or the CSSF. Generally assist with FAM’s product development right from idea stage through to fully managing the new product approval process with the regulator and internal and external stakeholders;
• Fund Documentation – Draft and maintain fund and management company documents (e.g. Prospectus, Supplements, KIIDs and Business Plan) and other ancillary documents related to the investment funds under management;
• Contracts – Draft and review a range of commercial contracts impacting the management company and the funds under management (such as IMAs with third party managers, investment advisory agreements, licensing agreements etc.);
• Transactional Documentation: Draft and review fund transactional documentation such as ISDA Agreements, transaction confirmations, ISDA amendment agreements, give-up agreements etc.;
• Legal advice – Provide practical, business-oriented legal advice on issues that arise for FAM in the context of its Irish and Luxembourg fund umbrellas and in respect of FAM’s own management company governance requirements;
• Projects – Participation in ad-hoc regulatory and business projects;
• Board and FAM committee preparation – Assist internal stakeholders and the Company Secretary in respect of preparing and organising quarterly board meetings and product committee meetings; and
• Represent FAM – Represent FAM at external conferences, industry events or fund association events.

 

Key Requirements:

• Qualified Irish Solicitor or a solicitor with equivalent qualification in another jurisdiction with 5 years’ post qualification experience (gained working in Ireland specifically).
• Previous experience in investment funds is essential, with a demonstrable background in the understanding of investment strategies and subsequent drafting of fund product documentation.
• Highly motivated, pragmatic, solutions-oriented and a real business partner.
• Ability to conduct a thorough legal analysis of complex topics and translate this analysis into practical and succinct legal advice.
